Business Objective

Our client, a market research agency supporting a pharmaceutical company, sought to better understand how healthcare professionals (HCPs) discuss prostate cancer treatment options with patients. The goal was to test different communication materials and messaging to ultimately improve patient understanding and engagement in treatment decisions.

Project Scope

This was a multi-country qualitative study with strict timelines and a need for specific medical specialists across four diverse markets. Recruitment required a focused approach to engage urologists and onco-urologists who are the relevant treaters in both Europe and Asia.

QQFS Solution

QQFS delivered a seamless, consultancy-driven recruitment process that combined extensive healthcare panel access with hands-on project management and local insight.

  • Expert, in-house recruitment: Our recruitment team ensured consistent quality across all markets, engaging and qualifying high-calibre respondents quickly and effectively which lead securing the delivery of the full sample.
  • Collaborative global execution: Since multiple parties across different time zones were involved in the project, effective collaboration approach was key. Our EU-based project manager has efficiently coordinated between our custom recruitment team, moderators, our local recruitment specialists in Asia, as well as our US-based client. QQFS was working together as a unified team and ensured alignment throughout the project despite time zone challenges.
  • Local Expertise in Recruitment Strategy (Asia): Our team discovered that the targeted drug had only recently been approved in Japan and China, which explained the low prescription rates. Thanks to this local knowledge, we proactively advised the client, who agreed to adjust the quotas—ensuring the study remained feasible and relevant.
  • Consultative Moderation (France & Germany): Moderators in France and Germany reviewed the discussion guide and provided market-specific feedback. Their input helped refine terminology, leading to clearer respondent understanding and more insightful conversations.
  • Compliance and Transparency: The project followed all relevant local compliance requirements, with clear reporting and documentation at every stage.

Client Impact

The client was pleased with the results. All quotas were met within the agreed timeline, and interviews delivered valuable insights that helped shape future communication strategies for prostate cancer treatment. After completing the customer satisfaction survey, the client has given QQFS a perfect Net Promoter Scope of 100 and the highest rating for project management. They highlighted the high quality of moderation, seamless handling of a multi-faceted project, and recognised QQFS as a reliable and consultative partner for healthcare fieldwork.
