Business Problem

The client needed to better understand the experiences of healthcare professionals living with hand eczema or contact dermatitis.
Unlike traditional studies that recruit either healthcare professionals or patients, this project required respondents who belonged to both groups simultaneously. Eligible participants needed to be practising healthcare professionals suffering from active hand eczema. Due to ongoing flare-ups, this condition could impact their ability, comfort, or confidence at work.

Operational Requirements

This project presented two specific requirements beyond the research objectives.

Fieldwork timeline: Fieldwork took place over just 10 business days and coincided with the Easter holiday period, reducing respondent availability.

Multiple quota requirements: The study required careful quota management across several dimensions:

  • Healthcare specialties
  • Professional grades
  • Work settings
  • Study-specific eligibility criteria
Combined with the highly targeted sample, these requirements made the audience particularly hard to reach and made recruitment significantly more niche than a standard healthcare professional study.

Execution Model

Survey Programming and Data Management: QQFS provided survey programming for the project. A questionnaire review call helped validate the screener, clarify requirements, and align expectations before scripting began. This early alignment enabled QQFS to deliver an error-free survey link within three days of receiving the questionnaire.

Recruitment Strategy: Due to the specialized target audience of HCPs with personal medical conditions, QQFS employed a targeted recruitment strategy. Using its patient and HCP panels alongside its in-house dynamic profiling tool, QQFS was able to identify the qualified respondents without sending invitations to a large sample size. This targeted approach helped identify high-quality, eligible healthcare professionals efficiently and deliver the required outcomes within 10 days.

Measurable Outcomes

QQFS successfully delivered 212 online interviews, exceeding the agreed target while remaining within the client’s required timeline. The client praised the team’s proactive communication, project management, flexibility, and responsiveness throughout the study, providing positive feedback for each of the teams involved in the project:

Account Management

”Thanks for your adaptability with regard to the quota on a quite unusual project and amendments to this, as well as your input throughout the process. An unusual project, but we are very happy with how successful this has been. Thanks, team.”

Programming

”Our programming contact was excellent. The quality of the programming and speedy amendments contributed to the success of this project within quick timelines. Thank you.”
